Privacy
This site collects as little as it can get away with. Here is exactly what that means.

The short version
No advertising, no third-party trackers, no cross-site profiling, and no cookies for visitors. The only cookie this site sets is a session cookie for administrators signing in to manage content.
What is collected
Two things, for two clearly separable reasons.
- Contact submissions: the name, email address, optional organisation, subject and message you type into the contact form, so that the enquiry can be read and answered.
- Aggregate usage counts: a daily count of anonymous events such as 'a research paper was viewed' or 'a link was followed', with no identifier attached to any of them.
What is deliberately not collected
Usage analytics store an event name, an optional short label and a page path — nothing else. No cookie, no device fingerprint, no IP address, no referrer, no session identifier, and nothing that could reconstruct one person's path through the site.
Requests that carry a Do Not Track signal send no analytics events at all.
IP addresses
Your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit form submissions, and is not stored for that purpose.
When you submit the contact form, a salted, truncated, one-way hash of your IP address may be stored alongside the submission. It exists so that a flood of abusive submissions can be identified as coming from one source. It cannot be reversed to an IP address, and it is not used for anything else.
How long things are kept
Contact submissions are kept while the correspondence remains relevant, and deleted when it does not. Aggregate event counts contain no personal data and are kept indefinitely.
Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing. It is processed by the infrastructure providers that host this site and, where an email provider is configured, deliver contact notifications. Those providers act on instruction and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.
Third-party content
Links to external services — preprint servers, code repositories, video platforms — take you to sites with their own data practices. Where a video is embedded, the privacy-enhanced player is used so that the platform does not set tracking cookies unless you play the video.
Your rights
You can ask what has been stored about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to Precision Capital Academy LLP through the contact page and the request will be handled directly.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it.
